Press Release The latest exhibition in The Gallery at Gordon R McFarlane FBHI, Watchmaker, Jeweller & Art Gallery, 41 Mill Street, Alloa has just opened. Some of the ‘Christmas crackers’ on display include exhibits of local landscapes, cracking cards, fantastic flowers, gifts in glass & wonderful woodturning, as well as jazzy jewellery. Most of the artists and craft workers live within the Clackmannanshire & Stirlingshire area and have chosen to present their works in the Christmas exhibition. The Gallery was opened in 2001 in a bright upstairs area of the well known family business and has now held dozens of exhibitions. Some shows have been in aid of charity, others have been organised by groups such as Central Arts, Art Unlimited and various other art groups whilst the rest have been ‘Open Exhibitions’ where individual artists are invited to submit their works. There are now over 150 individual artists registered with The Gallery, many of whom are seasoned individuals who have shown their work in numerous venues locally, nationally and even internationally. Entry to the exhibition is free and The Gallery at Gordon R McFarlane FBHI, Alloa is open Monday to Saturday during the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm. It will be open on the two Sundays before Christmas, 17th from 11am until 4pm and Christmas Eve from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Neil McFarlane said: ‘It’s fantastic that The Gallery is welcoming so many regular exhibitors and visitors, and whilst most are local it is also satisfying to have both from further afield.
