Open throughout December and January, from 10 am - 5pm, Monday to Saturday excepting Christmas and New Year weekends. Rupert Copping is a versatile painter, who works in a variety of styles, and whose work is constantly evolving. His use of colour is both vivid and subtle at the same time. Inspiration for his subject matter comes from various sources. His watercolours are mainly representational landscapes, but his oils encompass both landscape and scenes from life on Skye, completely imaginary and symbolic narrative painting vividly painted in a rather naive style, and landscapes in a semi-abstract style. This exhibition features watercolours from £20 , prints from £22 and oils from £120. Rupert is always happy to discuss the possibility of commissions. He is at the gallery, where he also works, 4 or 5 days a week in the winter, but his wife, Jemima has the Borealis Shop next door and is always happy to talk to visitors.
