Mixed Media Exhibition August 18 - September 12, 2007 In this exhibition Ann is using the firing, fusing and slumping techniques which she has always used in her stained glass jewellery pieces. In some cases the panels are set in relief surrounds created from acrylic moulding paste and painted to resemble metal. In others, the work is either mounted with iridescent backing or fusing-compatible iridescent glass. These pieces are designed to be front lit and can hang or stand. Pieces glued directly to a glass backing are designed to stand in a window or with some backlighting. Her other works are mainly landscape and floral studies in oils, watercolours and mixed media with a few of the painted and embroidered textile collages for which she is best known.
