Ann B McClintock Ann is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and Glasgow University. She also studied stage, textile and costume design part-time at Glasgow Art School. After graduating she taught in Glasgow schools, and later went on to lecture in the Drama Department of Jordanhill College of Education. During this time she collaborated with art and special education staff on puppetry and video projects, and worked on the design of costumes for student performances of Shakespeare and other plays. Some ten years later, Ann re-trained as an educational psychologist and gained a Ph.D. from Glasgow University, specialising in the use of art, music and drama as a means of developing social and communication skills among children and adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and physical disabilities. She is the author of two books on drama and communication. Ann has taught art in Schools and Colleges, run conferences on art and drama therapy, worked as an art and drama therapist, run workshop sessions on painting, textiles and embroidery, and exhibited widely in the UK and abroad. For many years she has combined part-time consultancy and lecturing with work in art and local radio. In recent years she has been able to devote more time to painting, textile work and to the development of jewellery designs in stained glass with gold and silver accents. Member of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists Member of the Visual Arts Society Member of The Artists Union Lecturer to the Embroiderer's Guild Exhibited in various Galleries in Scotland, London, USA & Denmark including the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh Selected to produce stained glass for Scottish Business Person of the Year Trophies for the years 1997-2001, in collaboration with ceramics artist Roseann Cherubinni.
