April 2, 2007 Hello Jean & Hilary, I totally agree with the objections in your letter and will also send in a letter of objection. I'm sure if they did a survey of the visitors to Gallifaufry and where they came from they would also realise that Western Ferries and Cal Mac gain a huge amount of custom from your trade too. I hope you have sent this to the ferry companies as their business will be affected in the long term. We have often spent time too in Dunoon for a meal after delivering Paintings or coming to an opening so the whole of Dunoon should be up in arms. All your hard work and efforts should be greatly considered in this action - I can't think of a better example than you two in support of local artists. I would be deeply agrieved if all came to nought with Gallimaufry through an ill considered planning decision. I would urge them to think long and hard before they throw the baby out with the bathwater. Good luck, feel free to paste this into you book of signatures, which I hope you are collecting.
