Gallimaufry Gallery/Coffee Shop presents a varied programme of Exhibition, Demontrations and hands-on Crafts classess during the weekend of June 22-24 as part of 2007 Cowal Festival celebration, including
Wine and Nibbles Our ArtsFeast lauches in the gallery with a previews of a new exhibition Rollover on Friday 22nd June from 7 - 9pm. Come and enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles and meet the artists. The exhibition runs for 2 months but with a Rollover after the first month. 7 different artists take a 4x4 foot wall space to fill as they choose for the first month but paintings or to be rolled over for display in the second month. At the opening of the exhibition, Saturday 23rd June, there is another opportunity to meet the artists over a cup of coffee. During the Cowal Festival weekend the gallery has organised craft classes and displays. Once again William Williamson will tutor a Stoneware class titled Hare-do where participants are guided through the building of a stoneware hare which can be displayed indoors or outdoors. Alongside this, William will also conduct a Ceramic Painting session. James O’Neill will run his popular Pewter Mirror Frame class where all taking part will leave the class with a mirror to their own design. Scoular Anderson, the designer of the ArtsFeast map, will be on hand on Saturday and Sunday (2 - 5pm) to paint Caricature Portraits. Scoular will have a selection of his books available for sale. Sue McQueen will be on hand Saturday and Sunday with a range of her Dichroic Glass Jewellery. All classes must be booked through the gallery ...
