As always, the Homes & Interiors Exhibition assembles the very best in interior design this country has to offer. Bringing together renowned designers, and the finest craft makers, this is an all-encompassing exhibition showcasing everything you need for your home under one roof. With a superb range of companies exhibiting, the only show in Scotland dedicated to quality interiors is now even bigger. And remember to stop by Christo's Gallery stall to see some of my most recent paintings. From February 3, 2008 at The Rowan Gallery 36-42 Main Street, Drymen, Loch Lomond I am delighted to be working with such a prestigious gallery yet again, and my latest work will be on show from February 3, 2008.
This solo exhibition follows on from the incredibly successful Edinburgh Art Fair when demand for the latest work outstripped supply. I love the effect of light on any subject and by playing around with the light I can create a mood and atmosphere that will capture your imagination and hold your attention.
It is this use of light that created so much of a demand for my work at the Edinburgh Art Fair that my work sold out within 2 days. Successful art will make you stop in your tracks and take a careful look at the work, and I hope this latest work which incorporates the Glasgow sky line will make you pause for thought and give you great pleasure.
There will be 25 paintings in various sizes and format in this exhibition. This is my latest work which shows a marked change in the work itself not only in style but in approach as well, with a sudden change from monochrome to bright vibrant colours ... a change that will be clearly noted when viewed together for the first time. Figures are still the main feature of my work but the dramatic light source is still evident in everything and that will take a long time to change. at The Pink Gallery 28 Sinclair Street, Helensburgh, Argyll A mixed show of work featuring artists from all over the country. This will be a chance to see my latest work from since the auction of one of my paintings for thousands in a charity event for CLIC Sergeant hosted by Andy Cameron at the Lochgreen Hotel in Ayr. November 2 - December 24, 2007 November 11 - December 31, 2007
Main Street, Drymen, Stirlingshire There is a new approach to the work here, using oils is a great way of creating a textured image with real life and brilliant colours and the more oils feature in my work the thicker the paint on the canvas. Also featured in this Christmas Exhibition is some of the new work from Peter Howson and Frank McFadden with images of John Lennon. Come and see.
