Other than doing O Grade art at school, I have had no formal training in art. I began my working life as a Nurse at the age of 19, around which time I became Anorexic. At the end of my training I became a Psychiatric patient. I've battled with Anorexia, and other stuff, ever since, and gone through every emotion imaginable. Some of the irrational, scarey thoughts may come out in some of my work; others contain the beautiful images I thought I wouldn't live to see ... View my Showcase I stopped working after the birth of my son, 3 years ago. Despite having been involved with art for years, this was my first experience of painting on canvas. In May this year (2007), a few pieces of my work were accepted in an exhibition at Birmingham NEC; part of BEAT Awareness Week.
