James Weir Building, 75 Montrose street Glasgow G1 1XJ The Institute for Advanced Studies supports programmes which address strategic, societal issues which are best addressed from a multi-disciplinary, cross-sector and international perspective. It aims to gain added value by marshalling existing knowledge and deploying research experience in fresh ways - and in doing so to influence policy and practice and to engage the wider public in the subjects which are addressed. The Institute is located on the University of Strathclyde campus and has a small dedicated exhibition area to showcase the work of contemporary artists. Open: Monday - Friday, 9.30am – 5pm.
