Hi Ali
I like your family's web site - there is a lightness and friendliness about it which I appreciate. I'm sorry your holiday was so wet. We went North for a traditional bucket and spade British holiday and the weather was not kind either. The kids are complaining - Why can't we do the package holiday on the continent like everyone else? What to do? It's a shame because when the weather is good, Britain is hard to beat.

Dear Ali
What a super web site. Your photos are great. What an eye - every one of them is part of Richard's and my holiday in Northumberland. I can't wait to show him when he returns from work. I had a peep inside one of the boat huts on Lindisfarne. It was full of building materials. I love The Small World on the beach , and the portrait of Judith and Spud. I can definitely see Judith helping out at your local vets. I think she'd be very good at it: a calming influence for all those vet-shy pets! I did enjoy my visit to your Small World, responding twice on my journey round. You must have been burning the midnight oil to come up with such a brilliant site so quickly. How do you even begin to build in the key-words section? It's like the index at the end of a book. It really works! It makes me want to join the build your own web page course at our local college! I might just do that if it doesn't clash with my work. Will it take a lot of time and energy to keep it up and running?

Thank you and love to you all - Miriam

What a moving story. I'd love to hear more about the children including Johanna. What are her interests? Who are her friends and what do they like doing?

My sister, Nicky, lives and works in Albania teaching people in and around her remote village to teach, to enable the children to grow up literate. We don't see her very often: maybe every other year or so, and we miss her a lot. I'd like to send her a print out of Street Children, Romania, if that's OK with you.

Reply-
Yes, Miriam, do send a copy of Street Children to your sister, but just explain that the copy is kinda bity-pitsy, not being edited yet. We'd love to hear about Nicky's work some day. It's all part of our Small world- Ali

Impressed is not the word! I'm amazed by the wonderful pictures and topics which you have put together in a way that even I can access without giving up in exasperation. I have your Small World fixed firmly in my favourites list and will be a regular visitor. Love to you all.
